Ubisoft Back in a Big Way This Year?

hexe

Last year we didn’t see Ubisoft practically at all. There was no show from them to showcase what their developers have been working on. I think this year that changes. I think we’re going to see most of the games they’ve been working on over the years. I also think it is time.

There has been a lot of noise around Ubisoft with how they’ve partitioned off most of their IP. However, with the major investment coming in, I only see their games getting better with more of a focus being made on the franchises that have really brought a real following.

Splinter Cell and Beyond Good and Evil are actively being worked on and have every chance of showing in the future. We’re going to see exactly how that revitalizes those gaming franchises, as well as the new Assassin’s Creed because of the major structure changes involved. There is going to be a darker tone with project Hexen, the next Assassin’s Creed. Something that fans have been asking for a while and the setting is going to ultimately allow Ubisoft to go and do that.

The Division 3 is also in the pipeline and it’s no secret that one. What this ultimately means is that we should not be surprised if Ubisoft comes back in a big way this summer. As a Ubisoft fan, I am incredibly excited by what we could see transpired at the company in terms of what they’ve been working on for a while now. It’s only going to improve the games for the fans of Ubisoft out there.

This comes as a major relief to many as it was well documented how much trouble they had found themselves in. I do however think that the update this year is going to be one that gives the majority what they want to see.
