Capcom Hitting Highs

pragma

Capcom has been on a bit of a roll the last few years. Resident Evil has always been the standout franchise – but they’re continuing to expand and take risks as well. PRAGMATA is a game that’s a new IP that is supposedly previewing as genre defining. As other studios are taking plenty of punches, Capcom has been a studio that’s really showing just what happens when you are consistent in the creative process of your work.

It’s rare to see a new IP getting the sort of attention that this new Sci-fi game set on a lunar base is getting. When you consider that two Capcom games will be released in 2026. They could continue having a really strong showing in the industry. Japanese studios are really important to the industry. Especially when a lot have been shut down. If we look at Konami they certainly could learn a lot from what Capcom are doing.

When you’re getting new IPs that are taking these sorts of risks and they’re paying off. It really is great to see how asian developers continue to really flourish and continue to improve no matter the adversity that they’ve faced. It’s exactly the refresh that the industry has needed.
